2nd SHIFT Turning Machinist-(Vtl Prefered

Overview

Since 1948 Acme Industries has been providing high‑quality precision manufacturing serving aerospace, defense, power generation, mining, transportation, and other sectors.

We are seeking experienced CNC Turning Machinists for the 2nd shift. The 2nd shift receives a 10% shift differential. No waiting period for benefits. VTL experience is preferred. Typical hours Monday–Friday 4:20 pm to 2:50 am. Must be available for overtime including weekends and peak times. Hire‑on bonus offered.

• Follow written instructions and read and apply blueprint specifications.
• Perform a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to close and exact tolerances and finishing specifications.
• Able to perform simple set‑ups of many jobs; may operate more than one machine.
• Check parts for conformance to specifications.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

• Must be able to read and write English; basic computer skills a plus.
• Preferred: five or more years of combined formal training and experience or equivalent.
• Broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC machine‑tool operating procedures.
• Ability to apply recognized tooling and procedures where tolerances are close.
• Blueprint reading ability.
• Requires a high school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently, with heavier weight necessary at times.
