In this position, youll collaborate with educators and families, providing essential health care and guidance to students throughout the school day. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, offering a healthy work-life balance while enabling you to truly connect with the school community.
Qualifications:- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Prior experience with pediatric, adolescent, or school-based nursing strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Adaptable to fast-paced and evolving health needs during the school year
- Ability to work effectively both independently and with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct care, first aid, and emergency response to students and school staff
- Administer prescribed medications and collect health data as needed
- Assist in developing care plans for students with chronic health conditions
- Maintain accurate health records and ensure strict confidentiality
- Educate students, staff, and families on health management, disease prevention, and wellness topics
- Program support may involve multiple nearby school sites and varying caseloads
