Air Import Agent in Elk Grove Village, IL

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for an Air Import Agent to join our team in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and managing air import shipments, communicating with customers and carriers, and ensuring all documentation and customs requirements are completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working in a fast‑paced logistics, transportation, or freight forwarding environment.

• Starting at $23/hour

• Located in Elk Grove Village, IL

• Coordinate and monitor air import shipments from origin to final delivery
• Prepare, review, and process shipping and import documentation
• Communicate with airlines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and customers
• Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or service issues
• Ensure compliance with company policies and import regulations
• Update shipment information within transportation management systems
  
  Verify billing information and maintain accurate records
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipment status
• Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure timely cargo processing
• Maintain a high level of customer service and attention to detail

• Previous logistics, freight forwarding, import/export, or transportation experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and transportation required
