The RoleAs a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain the property to ensure good working order and pleasant curb appeal while providing excellent customer service to residents. The incumbent must possess a high degree of professionalism and positive engagement for residents and the workforce.

- An authentic attitude – consistently open, professional, and solution‑oriented when addressing resident and staff concerns.
- A positive, professional approach – active listening and support that help residents and staff feel seen, heard, and valued.
- 2+ years of multifamily maintenance experience.
- Hands‑on maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools, etc.
- EPA Type II or Universal certification highly desired; CPO is a plus.
- On‑call availability for emergencies.
- Reliable transportation.
- Positive attitude and desire to learn and develop skills.
- Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer knowledge (Windows Word, Excel, internet, e‑mail).
- Customer service and maintenance: deliver high‑quality service and resolve resident requests.
- Complete work orders, preventative maintenance, and the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments.
- Assist in grounds, common area, and amenity maintenance (trash removal, pressure washing, cleaning, painting).
- Support cost‑cutting and expense control programs by fixing parts and practicing proper tool use.
- Conduct routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and report to management.
- Track inventory of materials, supplies, and tools, and notify the supervisor of re‑ordering needs.
- Adhere to property‑management rules, policies, safety protocols, and report any malfunctions or injuries promptly.
- Participate in safety meetings and complete required OSHA and other regulatory training.
- Ensure compliance with fair‑housing laws and all relevant regulations.
- Physical demands: frequent standing, walking, reading, writing, calculations, occasional squatting, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling; work on uneven ground and travel to sister communities as needed.
