The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery, equipment, and facilities. This role supports safe operations, minimizes downtime, and ensures equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and continuous safety improvements
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with machine operators
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize repairs
- Take ownership of equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs
- Support building and facility maintenance
- Maintain organization and inventory of the maintenance shop and tools
- Partner with the Maintenance Manager to address safety concerns
- Duties may vary by location
- Maintain machinery and equipment in proper working order
- Provide on-call emergency maintenance support
- Ensure regular, reliable attendance
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Electrical certification preferred
- Corrugated packaging industry experience a plus
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
- Proficiency with shop tools (drill press, grinders, welders, oxy-acetylene torch)
- Computer literacy in a Microsoft environment
- Strong written, verbal, and email communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a professional manner
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Quality and efficiency of completed work
- Compliance with procedures and processes
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Safe, timely, and effective repairs
