Shop PM Technician – Afternoon Shift

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative maintenance on trash trucks.
• Write detailed work orders while working in‑yard and mainly in the shop independently.
• Provide quality customer service when needed.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair bodies, systems, and components.
• Perform preventive maintenance measures on the fleet.
• Check and repair brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Test all systems and equipment for performance issues.
• Ensure trailers meet U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements.
• Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report findings to management.
• Respond promptly to client queries.

• 1+ year experience doing preventive maintenance on trash trucks (nice to have).
• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift 100+ pounds.
• Basic computer skills for submitting repairs for billing.
• Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks.
• Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders.
• Experience with welding; certification a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical school degree a plus.
• Class A CDL.
• Own tools.
