The primary responsibility of the Custodian will be custodial and maintenance in and around the campus facilities. Custodians will promote a safe and healthy environment for our community, students, visitors and employees. It is the role of the custodian to follow daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.
This position reports to the Campus Facilities Manager.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THE POSITION- REQUIRED
- Driver's License
- Basic computer skills
- Cleaning experience
- OTHER SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written format; read, understand and follow instructions, schedules, and chemical & solvent label.
- Ability to access ticketing system and email.
- Ability to obtain or complete forklift-training certifications.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet cleaning schedules; perform the physical requirements for the position including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for long periods of time; lift and carry boxes, tools, equipment and materials.
- Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment such as carpet extractors, high-speed buffers and scrubbers.
- Ability to operate a forklift, floor jack, snow removal equipment and District-owned vehicle.
- High degree of professionalism and customer care.
- Promotes efficiency and creates a sense of teamwork.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available.
