Job Summary
Maintenance Technician I responsible for maintaining all buildings, property, equipment, and landscaping at a specified Cox location. The position does not allow remote work and may require overtime.
CompensationHourly base pay $20.00 – $30.00/hour, depending on location, experience, and qualifications. Additional compensation may include commission and incentive programs.
Responsibilities- Maintain all buildings, property, equipment, and landscaping for the site.
- Clean and pick up trash/debris from parking lots and exterior trash cans.
- Clean and maintain restrooms.
- Operate floor scrubbing machinery and maintain clean auction house floors.
- Perform routine carpentry work in the repair and maintenance of buildings, offices, etc.
- Operate snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
- Empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and comply with applicable safety rules.
- Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling behaviors related to safety excellence.
- Participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor (e.g., moving furniture, unloading and storing supplies).
- Work overtime as business needs dictate.
- High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Alternative qualification:
Higher degree or certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline, or 5 years of experience in a related field. - Safe driver required; valid driver's license.
- Skill and knowledge to perform light/basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Regularly able to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
- Frequently able to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
- Medium strength with ability to lift 1 to 50 pounds.
- Vision abilities: close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays per calendar year.
- Additional paid time off includes bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
