Sanitation, Maintenance​/Cleaning

PFG Customized, a division of Performance Food Group, is seeking a Sanitation team member to maintain a clean, safe, and food-safe distribution facility. In this role, you will clean production and warehouse areas, sanitize equipment and food-contact surfaces, handle chemicals properly, and follow strict OSHA and food safety procedures. You'll complete cleaning logs, support audits, and collaborate with operations to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize warehouse, production, and common areas to food safety standards
• Sanitize equipment, racks, and food-contact surfaces per schedules and SOPs
• Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely and in compliance with OSHA requirements
• Follow all safety, GMP, and food safety policies and wear required PPEComplete sanitation logs, checklists, and documentation accurately and on time
• Assist with sanitation-related inspections and regulatory or customer audits
• Work closely with operations to schedule cleaning and minimize downtime
• Operate basic cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, sweepers, and pressure washers
• Report maintenance or safety issues promptly to supervisors
• Support continuous improvement of sanitation processes and standards
