Nonpermanent Pool - Skilled Trades/Maintenance/Custodial/Grounds
Central Washington University is recruiting nonpermanent Skilled Trades/Maintenance/Custodial/Grounds positions to join our team. Depending on the position, this pool may consist of campus-based or remote locations. The salary is dependent on experience and the position, plus the CWU benefits.
The RoleCWU is accepting applications for individuals to perform general office support work and to fulfill temporary needs for skilled trades, maintenance, custodial, and grounds duties in various departments. These positions are designated as nonpermanent hourly roles.

- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms
- Cleaning kitchens and dining rooms
- Setting up meeting rooms
- Laundry duties
- Physical ability to do the required work

- Prior experience, training and/or education
- Some positions may require additional licenses or certifications
- Each department will have individual preferred qualifications for specific jobs.

Pay: Dependent on position classification and experience, this ranges from $18.75 per hour up to $40.00 per hour.
Applications will be used to develop a pool of applicants for nonpermanent Skilled Trades/Maintenance/Custodial/Grounds positions through September 30, 2026. Selected applicants may be called on short notice to fill positions on an as-needed basis.
Working ConditionsOutdoor work will include extreme seasonal temperatures and weather, and may require standing, crawling, bending, walking, climbing while carrying, pulling, pushing, or lifting equipment or tools. Drivers may be required to operate service vehicles or equipment in congested areas.
