Assistant Facilities Director
Are you an experienced maintenance leader who enjoys coordinating projects, supporting teams, and ensuring facilities operate at the highest level? Witham Family Hotels is seeking an Assistant Facilities Director to work alongside our Facilities Director in overseeing maintenance operations across our portfolio of hotels, employee housing, and company facilities.
In this leadership role, you'll help manage maintenance teams, coordinate contractors and renovation projects, oversee preventative maintenance programs, and ensure our properties remain safe, functional, and guest-ready. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong facilities experience who enjoys both hands-on problem-solving and strategic planning while working with a team committed to excellence.
Our portfolio currently consists of nine lodging properties, numerous employee housing units, and a company office building throughout Bar Harbor and Ellsworth. You'll work closely with our Facilities Director and maintenance team, which includes a Housing Maintenance crew, Master Electrician, HVAC Technician, Maintenance Managers, and Maintenance Associates. During the offseason, you'll help coordinate and oversee renovation and capital improvement projects that typically range from $2 million to $5 million annually.

Minimum 40 hours per week, with additional hours as needed to support operations - Shifts:

Travel required between properties and housing locations in Bar Harbor and Ellsworth

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Facilities Director in overseeing maintenance operations across all hotel properties, employee housing units, and company facilities
- Schedule, coordinate, and oversee external contractors including electricians, plumbers, roofers, painters, landscapers, excavators, HVAC contractors, and other trades
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, quality standards, and contractor performance to ensure successful project completion
- Support the planning and execution of offseason renovation and capital improvement projects ranging from $2 million to $5 million annually
