Substitute Custodian
Must be available to fill in for full‑time custodians in 4‑hour and/or 8‑hour increments. $15.47 an hour sub rate.
- Follow safety procedures
- Must use and maintain safety equipment
- Setup equipment for day or night activities
- Attend meetings as required
- Dust furniture, ledges, woodwork, equipment, shelves, and dust mop floors
- Wash windows, walls, and doors
- Mop offices, classrooms, hallways, and other areas
- Wash trash and recycling receptacles
- Clean restrooms and locker rooms
- Maintain restrooms and locker room supplies
- Polish metal items and wood furniture
- Collect and properly dispose of trash and recycling material
- Operate custodial equipment – buffers, vacuums, automatic floor machines
- Remove snow as assigned
- Help with indoor and outdoor work as directed
- Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds when necessary
- Be able to stand for eight hours, two hours at a time
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
