Salary: Starting $52,000 (PerEPET 2024 - 2028 Contract)

The School Psychologist supports students academically, socially-emotionally and behaviorally.
Qualifications- Masters Degree or higher in Psychology or Educational Psychology
- Professional Educator License
- School Psychology Endorsement
- Bilingual (Spanish and/or Polish) - Preferred
- Collaborate with teachers, parents and administrators to find effective solutions to academic and behavioral struggles
- Has background in multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS)
- Conduct classroom observations to gather information and provide recommendations
- Participate on MTSS committees
- Participate in the development, management, and implementation of behavior plans as well as in the completion of functional behavioral analysis and behavior intervention plans
- Participate in functional behavior analysis for Manifestation Determination meetings
- Conduct individual, group, and crisis counseling sessions as appropriate
- Communicate with and refer to outside agencies, hospitals, or clinics when appropriate
- Provide crisis intervention and support services when necessary
- Screen and evaluate referred students using:
- Standardized, appropriate instruments
- Curriculum-based measurements and authentic, classroom-based assessments techniques
- Review of student progress and response to targeted interventions
- Observations and appropriate clinical evaluation
- Write reports which state the evaluation findings and share educational program recommendations
- Participate as a member of the IEP team contributing evaluation findings, providing recommendations for special education eligibility, and collaborating in the development of students’ educational plan
- Participate in 504 meetings and implementation when appropriate
- Additional duties as assigned by the Director for Student Services or designee.
Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.
Travel RequirementsTravels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
