We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations while remaining actively involved on the production floor. This is a working supervisor role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, supporting technicians, and leading by example in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee a team of maintenance technicians, coordinate daily maintenance activities, improve equipment reliability, support capital projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
- Prioritize and coordinate preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Remain actively involved in troubleshooting and repair activities while supporting the maintenance team.
- Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and support production.
- Perform and oversee hands-on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related maintenance.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and lead repair efforts.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, and facility improvements.
- Improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability.
- Maintain maintenance documentation, work orders, and equipment history.
- Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance resources.
- Identify and implement practical improvements that increase equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen maintenance processes and overall plant performance.
- Promote proactive problem-solving and a culture of ownership throughout the department.
- Support the planning and execution of capital projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades.
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal resources during project execution.
- Assist with equipment selection, installation, startup, and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Promote safe work practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, and established maintenance procedures.
- Participate in safety audits and corrective action initiatives.
- Delaware Journeyman Electrician License (or ability to obtain within an agreed timeframe).
- Five or more years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Five or more years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience supervising maintenance teams.
- Strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with 480V three-phase electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Master Electrician License.
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting capital projects from planning through commissioning.
- Experience with CMMS or maintenance planning systems.
- Demonstrated success improving maintenance operations and equipment reliability.
