Commercial Cleaner​/Janitor

Job Summary

Commercial cleaning position at 20 hours weekly in Elyria, covering industrial building areas including locker rooms, break rooms, dining areas, and shop spaces. Shift: Monday‑Friday, 4‑hour shifts after 5 pm.

• Complete job specifications for assigned buildings
• Clean offices and common areas: disinfect desks and tabletops, dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, etc.
• Clean floors: dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, pick up larger objects, etc.
• Clean restrooms: restock dispensers, empty trash, sanitize fixtures, clean mirrors, spot‑clean partition doors and walls, sweep and mop tile floors, clean toilets and urinals.
• Other tasks: empty trash cans and replace liners, spot clean glass and windows, dust vents and other hard‑to‑reach places.
• Maintain equipment and order supplies.
• Maintain organization of assigned areas: keep clean/dirty laundry separate and janitor’s closet clean.
• Use the communication book to request consumables and share relevant facility information.
• Communicate with Area Manager regarding timekeeping, supplies, client requests, and other relevant issues or concerns.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
• Experience in housekeeping, environmental services, commercial cleaning, or janitorial services preferred.

• Pay: $15.00 hourly.
