Introduction

The State of Connecticut Department of Correction (DOC) is recruiting for a Correctional General Maintenance Officer (40 Hour) to support the Facilities & Engineering Unit in the maintenance and operation of Cybulski Correctional Institution. • Provide maintenance of critical systems such as security fence and motorized gates, cell and facility door locks and hardware, and surveillance cameras and infrastructure;
• Supervise assigned inmates;
• Keep a record of tool inventory and control;
• Perform snow and ice removal to maintain safe access for the police, medical, staff, and public;
• Protect the health and safety of public, staff, and inmates; and
• Maintain mandated compliance with Federal & State statute and agency directives and policies by assuring humane conditions of confinement in the facility through repair and maintenance.
