Maintenance Technician (Utility)
The Maintenance Technician (Utility) is responsible for executing preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities on utility and firefighting systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The role supports equipment reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives through timely maintenance interventions while adhering to all Safety, Quality, and Food Safety requirements.
Safety, Health, Environment & Compliance
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with Safety, Health, Environment (SHE), quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Comply with established safety systems and procedures, including LOTOTO, PTW, risk assessments, and PPE requirements.
- Promote a safe working environment by identifying, reporting, and addressing unsafe conditions, incidents, and equipment abnormalities.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards and support safety inspections, audits, and compliance activities.
- Ensure maintenance work supports GMP, HACCP, Food Safety, and other applicable company standards and requirements.
Maintenance & Reliability
- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance to ensure the reliability and availability of plant utility, mechanical, and facility equipment.
- Conduct equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, servicing, testing, and replacement of components as required.
- Monitor equipment performance, identify potential failures, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
- Support plant start-up, shutdown, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
- Contribute to root cause analysis, maintenance planning, and achievement of maintenance performance targets.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, and technical documentation.
Fire Protection Systems
- Support the inspection, testing, maintenance, and compliance of firefighting and emergency response systems.
- Ensure firefighting equipment and systems remain operational, certified, and compliant with applicable standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with external service providers and contractors for inspection, servicing, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records related to firefighting equipment, inspections, maintenance, and certifications.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in TPM, MOS, Lean Manufacturing, and maintenance excellence initiatives.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and operational performance.
- Support equipment upgrades, optimization projects, and continuous improvement activities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of maintenance standards, procedures, and best practices.

Here's what we're looking for:
Education:
Certificate, SKM, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Maintenance Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Must have:
- Minimum 2–3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience in utility systems, mechanical maintenance, pumps, valves, piping systems, or firefighting systems.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance.
Nice to have:
- Experience in FMCG, food, beverage, or process manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with TPM, MOS, Autonomous Maintenance, HACCP, and GMP requirements.
- Knowledge of utility systems, mechanical equipment, firefighting systems, and maintenance practices.
- Ability to perform equipment inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance activities.
- Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Basic computer literacy for maintenance reporting and documentation.
- Safety-conscious with strong compliance mindset.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Result-oriented with strong ownership and accountability mindset.
