Retail Store Cleaning Associate

Home Goods, a division of Widgets Co, is seeking a Part-Time Retail Store Cleaning Associate to keep our manufacturing-aligned retail location spotless and welcoming. In this role, you'll maintain cleanliness across sales floors, restrooms, break rooms, and stock areas, using proper chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures. You'll support a safe, organized environment for customers and staff while working within a collaborative culture that values teamwork, reliability, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of sales floor, restrooms, break rooms, and stock areas to company standards
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize high-touch surfaces and fixtures
• Empty trash and recycling, safely handle and dispose of cleaning chemicals and materials
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, paper products, and restroom materials
• Perform light maintenance tasks such as spot-cleaning spills and smudges promptly
• Follow safety, OSHA, and company cleaning protocols, including use of PPE and signage
• Collaborate with store associates to schedule cleaning around customer traffic
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, or equipment problems to supervisor
• Support occasional rearrangement of fixtures and light stockroom organization
• Uphold company brand by maintaining a neat, welcoming store environment
