Performs general routine maintenance and servicing operations throughout the hospital complex and other areas as directed. Response to emergencies and routine calls in a timely manner. Works under the supervision of the Assistant Maintenance Manager. Employee must have basic knowledge in the use of hand and electrical tools. Employee must attend a credited trade school in order to advance to the position of maintenance mechanic or higher.

Follows the Facilities Department and EHMC policies. Communicates with administration, directors, staff, patients and visitors.

• Requires a minimum of 3 months exposure to trades
• Must have strong interest in pursuing certification in one or more of the construction trades

• High School diploma or GED plus technical school student
