Sanitation Technician

Aramark is seeking a Sanitation Technician to support a clean, safe environment at our Norfolk facility. In this role, you will perform daily and deep cleaning of food service and facility areas, including floors, restrooms, break rooms, and high-touch surfaces. You will safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment, follow OSHA and company safety standards, and handle trash and recyclables. Working as part of a service-focused team, you'll help ensure a hygienic, guest-ready space while gaining training, growth opportunities, and the chance to positively impact clients and the community.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of food service and facility areas following Aramark and client standards
• Safely operate cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies according to safety and OSHA guidelines
• Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash, recyclables, and waste materials
• Maintain restrooms, break areas, and high-touch surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment
• Conduct routine inspections to identify sanitation or safety issues and report concerns promptly
• Follow established schedules and checklists to meet quality and timeliness expectations
• Support special cleaning projects and deep-cleaning tasks as needed
• Work collaboratively with facility and food service teams to support a clean, safe, guest-ready environment
