Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join the Maintenance team, reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring factory equipment is maintained to the highest possible standards, with a strong focus on safety, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. This is an initial 6 mth contract role

• Carry out machine maintenance in line with scheduled maintenance plans.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks in a timely manner and to the required standards.
• Install and relocate machinery and equipment when required.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance across the company.
• Maintain dryers and compressors.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requirements and machine breakdowns.
• Identify, order through the Purchasing Department and fit spare parts.
• Maintain stocks of critical machine and business spare parts.
• Follow established work instructions and SOPs.

• Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Automation, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
• Previous troubleshooring experience within a manug=facturing environment.
• Experience with documentation and maintenance systems.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
