Custodian

The YMCA is looking to hire a Custodian for our Enterprise, Alabama Location for the evening shift. Are you active, conscientious, and task oriented? Do you love keeping things running smoothly and contributing to the success of a civic organization? If so, please read on!

As a Custodian for the YMCA, you will keep the building and property clean, well-functioning, and problem free. You will need to have the ability to fix and clean the assigned areas. Custodians are what keep assigned areas clean, up-to-date, and ready for the children, staff, and clients every day. It is more than just collecting trash, mopping, and fixing things;

the hard work helps provide a safe, clean, and sanitary facility for all to enjoy.

• At least 18 years of age
• Must be able to complete assigned job duties with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift and move items over 50 pounds
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass a physical
• Ability to acquire appropriate certifications within 90 days
• Love for a community environment

The typical schedule for our Custodian position is 15 hours per week – evenings.
