Maintenance Worker, Building Maintenance

Fairmount Homes, Inc., a faith-based, nonprofit retirement community in Ephrata, PA, is seeking a Maintenance Worker to support a safe, comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include performing routine and preventative maintenance on buildings, resident rooms, equipment, and grounds; completing work orders; basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs; painting; and seasonal grounds care such as snow and ice removal.

The Maintenance Worker will respond to urgent maintenance needs, follow safety and infection-control procedures, and collaborate with nursing and support staff to minimize disruption to resident care. Strong customer-service skills, reliability, and respect for residents' dignity and privacy are essential. Basic computer skills to track work orders and maintenance records are helpful. Rotating on-call or occasional evening/weekend coverage may be required.
