THE POSITION

This position helps maintain buildings, equipment, and grounds across the Youth Forestry Camp system by performing work in several trades. The role supports safe, reliable facilities that meet agency standards. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:
- General Maintenance:
Perform work across carpentry, plumbing, heating, cooling, painting, masonry, and electrical tasks - Equipment Operation:
Operate and maintain tools, vehicles, and machinery needed for assigned duties - System Repairs:
Install or repair fixtures, roofs, gutters, electrical circuits, and heating and cooling systems - Grounds Care:
Carry out lawn care, snow removal, and upkeep of outdoor areas - Safety Compliance:
Maintain accountability for tools and follow all safety and security requirements - Travel Work:
Provide maintenance support at various locations as assigned
- Full‑time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch
- This position is considered essential during weather and other emergency events

- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities
- You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License

- You must be able to perform essential job functions
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance
