IPM Technician; Cannabis

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine monitoring, scouting, and documentation of plant population at all stages of development.
• Follow detailed IPM plans and timelines for plant production from beginning to end of crop cycles.
• Apply crop protection agents under the supervision of a certified pesticide applicator.
• Document application of agents (Biological Control Agents, pesticides, etc.) in accordance with state regulations.
• Maintain and clean PPE and equipment required for IPM duties.
• Assist with cleaning rooms after harvest and preparing for re‑loads.
• Performs assigned cultivation tasks when needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workplace, including sweeping and mopping as necessary.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of Integrated Pest Management methods and cannabis-specific pests and pathogens.
• Understanding of cannabis growing practices (cloning, transplanting, pruning, training, watering, etc.).
• Consistent execution of techniques with attention to detail.
• Strong documentation, inventory, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adhere to a tight schedule and maintain punctuality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic measurement skills and ability to operate a scale.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary.
• Minimum age 18 and ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

$16 per hour.

This position requires working in an environment with high plant matter and pollen. Facility areas can reach high/low temperatures and high humidity. Exposure to dust, plant matter, and particles affecting respiratory, eye, or skin health may occur. Protective gear, eye and ear protection is mandatory. Certain areas use harsh cleaning chemicals such as bleach and involve repetitive movements.

• Push, pull, lift, or move up to 50 lbs.
• Capable of sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, squatting, or walking for extended periods.
• Use hands and fingers for handling and picking.
• Work with hazardous chemicals (butane, propane, etc.) following safety guidelines.
• Utilize chemicals such as bleach for cleaning.
• Wear PPE, close‑toed non‑slip shoes, and optional ear/eye protection.
