Job Summary / Basic FunctionBay College, an equal‑opportunity employer, is seeking applicants for the Summer Custodial Assistant position. Student employees will support the upkeep, maintenance, and sanitization of campus buildings and grounds. Start dates and work schedules will be determined during the interview process.
Minimum Qualifications- Must be a currently enrolled Bay College student pursuing a degree or certificate.
- Must be enrolled in at least the Summer 2026 and/or Fall 2026 semester at the time of hire.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to safely operate power equipment.
- Must have a valid Bay College student .
- Clean and maintain dormitory living spaces and common areas.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, showers, and kitchen appliances, including ovens.
- Assist in maintaining the exterior appearance of dorm buildings and surrounding grounds.
- Perform minor repair and maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Assist with painting projects as needed.
- Perform general custodial duties to support a clean and safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
May work up to 29 hours per week.
