The Housekeeping Staff at VALLEY VISTA POST-ACUTE, plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This position ensures that all assigned areas, including patient rooms, common areas, and administrative spaces, are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to established protocols. The role contributes directly to the overall health and well-being of residents by preventing the spread of infections and promoting a hygienic atmosphere.

Housekeeping Staff collaborate closely with other departments to support the facility’s operational standards and compliance with health regulations. Schedule: 7.5 hours - 5 days a week
Pay: $18.50/hr

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and understand cleaning instructions and safety guidelines.
• Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
• Basic communication skills to interact effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial work is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Previous experience working in a healthcare or post-acute care environment.
• Familiarity with infection control standards and procedures.
• Certification in housekeeping or environmental services.
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers and buffers.
• Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic in previous roles.

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Dispose of waste and soiled materials safely and in accordance with facility policies and environmental regulations.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the housekeeping supervisor promptly.
• Follow infection control procedures rigorously to minimize health risks to residents and staff.
• Assist in setting up rooms for new residents or special events as needed, ensuring all areas meet cleanliness standards.
