Responsibilities
- Visually identify and sort ("pick") various materials from metal shredder conveyor systems
- During shredder downtime, perform cleanup and maintenance duties including but not limited to: shoveling debris, sweeping debris, equipment wash down, greasing, and miscellaneous machine maintenance assistance
- Picking stations are outdoors with shade covers
- Must wear minimum PPE at all times including: hi-visibility shirt/vest, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, safety-toe shoes
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English to understand instructions and emergency communications
- Must be able to stand at picking conveyor for extended periods
