As a Painter Helper, you'll play a vital role in supporting the painting team by preparing surfaces, assisting with their projects, and learning essential techniques used in professional painting. You'll collaborate closely with experienced painters to ensure quality results across diverse tasks and projects.

What You'll Do

As a Painter Helper, you will be responsible for:

Assisting painters with surface preparation including sanding, scraping, patching, and cleaning walls, ceilings, and other surfaces for painting.

Taping, masking, and covering areas to protect from paint spills and overspray.

Mixing paints, stains, and coatings as directed to ensure proper consistency.

Loading, unloading, and organizing tools, equipment, and supplies for daily work.

Setting up and dismantling ladders, scaffolding, or work platforms safely.

Applying primer, paint, and finishing coats under supervision, ensuring smooth and even application.

Cleaning brushes, rollers, and other tools after each use to maintain quality.

Maintaining a tidy and safe job site by following safety procedures and using PPE properly.

Supporting the team in completing projects on time and to quality standards.

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Previous experience in painting-residential or commercial-is preferred but not required.

Basic familiarity with hand tools and a willingness to learn painting techniques.

Strong attention to detail and a pride in quality craftsmanship.

Physical ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds comfortably.

Reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Ability to follow directions and work well within a team environment.

Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Trustworthy and safety-conscious, with a positive attitude.
