PositionPosition Overview:
As a Lube Tech, you will inspect vehicles with diesel engines and ensure moving engine parts and other vehicle components are lubricated with grease or other recommended lubricants. Responsibilities include checking vehicle fluid levels, changing oil, replacing oil and air filters, visually inspecting belts and hoses for wear, and identifying repairs that may be required. A Commercial Driver's License with Haz Mat Endorsement is required.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)- Perform routine vehicle maintenance (change oil and filter, lubrication, coolant, and fuel).
- Analyze malfunctions and report the need for further diagnostics or repair to shift lead or shop foreman.
- Operate and inspect vehicles and equipment to diagnose defects.
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hand tools.
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear.
- Use computer-based maintenance software to create work orders, schedule PMs, and document needed repairs.
- Perform general cleaning of work areas and maintenance areas.
- Assist other maintenance department staff to ensure efficient vehicle operations.
- May work in the shop, yard, or on job sites.
- Ability to perform DOT inspections and brake adjustments.
- Perform and maintain fluid analysis program.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education/Experience- High school diploma or GED preferred

- Ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
- Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
