The Housekeeper is responsible for daily cleaning the apartment community’s public facilities, common areas, and grounds. The Housekeeper is also responsible for the cleaning make-ready process in a manner consistent with the property’s operational objectives under the supervision of the Community Manager prior to move‑in.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Community Housekeeping
- Regular/daily onsite attendance is required
- Responsible for general cleaning and trash removal of grounds and residential areas, including make‑ready units and common areas
- Responsible for cleaning and preparing vacant units for move‑in
- Responsible for cleaning and upkeep daily of community’s offices, amenities, etc.
- Respond to resident/management requests and work orders for community common areas, buildings, and units in a timely manner
- Responsible for understanding and following Asset key policy
- Report any observed violations of community rules and regulations to the Community Manager
- Utilize property resources, equipment and supplies economically
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities requested by Community Manager
- Customer & Resident Relations
- Manage excellent customer service and monitor service request turnaround and responsiveness
- Projects a favorable image of the community to achieve property objectives and public recognition
- Ensure consistency in dealing with residents on all matters
- Enforce policies of the community that the immediate supervisor delegates
- High School Diploma or Equivalent;
Bachelor’s degree preferred or one year’s experience in the housing industry - Ability to understand and perform all on‑site software functions; basic computer skills required
- Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements
- Must ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, step stools, and the like; must move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces; must remain in a stationary position, either standing or sitting for prolonged periods; must communicate with others to exchange information; must repeat motions that may involve wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Must lift and place objects up to 25 lbs.; may be required to work overtime, weekends, and night hours (emergencies); be exposed to hazardous chemicals
- May be occasionally required to work in an overhead position and reach, adjust or move objects up to 25 lbs.; may operate machinery, power tools, motors or golf carts; may assess accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work; may work in extremely low or high temperatures, in outdoor environments such as precipitation and wind, in small and/or enclosed spaces, and traverse flat and non‑flat terrain
$16 per hour to $18 per hour
