Music Instructor- Seasonal

Position: Music Instructor- Seasonal 2026
Description:

Plans and implements a general music class for children, ages 5 to 11 in a day camp setting. Camps include instruction in two and three dimensional visual art, drama, dance and music, and creative writing.

Job Summary:

* Collaborate with other Arts Camp Staff

* Attend to the health, safety and discipline of campers at all times, adhering to all Health Department protocols

* Manage supplies and maintain an organized and safe classroom

* Conduct well organized, age-appropriate classes and execute final sharing

* Maintain positive customer relations with campers and their parents

* Perform administrative tasks that support the efficient operations of the program

Qualifications:

* College degree or completing a degree in the arts, education or related field or equivalent experience

* Excellent communication skills and ability to cooperate and collaborate with other artists

* Responsible and reliable

* Prior camp experience and experience teaching children

Availability:

You must be available Monday through Thursday to work. Camp season runs June 9 to July 31 with a week of training before camp begins.

Weekly hours:
Monday through Thursday, approx 9:30 to 3:30 pm

Schedule:

This is a seasonal summer position.
