Assistant Manager, ETHS Dance

Dance Coach Position

This position does not qualify for benefits and is a stipend position. Please refer to compensation schedule

Job Responsibilities

• Has a background in coaching dance, creating dance, and/or dance performance
• Assists the ETHS Dance Company Director with various needs and events throughout the dance year

Essential Job Functions

• Monday full company rehearsals from 4-5:30 pm starting at the end of October until March
• Supervise and provide feedback during student choreography rehearsals twice a week
• Supervise various guest artist rehearsals throughout the dance season
• Two weeks of dress rehearsals and tech in February or March
• Supervise and host three main shows (Friday - Sunday) in February or March
• Supervising 3-4 ETHS Staff Dance rehearsals, 7:30 am-8:00 am, in February
• Attend and help supervise dancers at the IL HS Dance Festival on a Saturday in October
• Supervise two one-day Saturday children's workshops (Winter and Spring)
• Supervise two Student Dance Showcases (during the school day)
• Oversee two student leadership board committees with the EDC Director
• If selected for the IL HS Dance Festival State Showcase, help supervise and assist in the festivities surrounding this event
• Assist in the final banquet organization
• Assist with ETHS Dance Company Auditions
