Family Support Specialist

Duties

The job of Family Support Specialist (Early Childhood) is done for the purpose/s of meeting the Head Start Performance Standards and District 65 expectations; ensuring full enrollment in Head Start programs; providing families with support and referral services; encouraging parents to be a part of their children's education; and ensuring active participation of Head Start families in the Head Start policy council, parent committees, and family trainings.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

* Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required

* Experience in Head Start program preferred - BA degree in Human Services.

Salary/Benefits

Salary and Benefits :

Salary Range: $22,500-$45,000

Competitive benefits package, including district paid pension.

Additional Notes

Terms Of Employment:

Twelve-month year (July 1 to June 30)
