Chiaravalle Montessori is looking for energetic, enthusiastic and motivated educators to make a commitment to our school, kids and community for the school year . We have one (1) full time Assistant Teacher for the following schedules: (2) 8:30am - 4:30pm (with additional hours from 4:30-6pm if needed). Our Toddler classrooms typically have one (1) Head Teacher and two (2) Assistant Teachers (depending on the class size).
The positions are scheduled from Mondays - Fridays. Full Time employees qualify for full time benefit coverage (medical, dental, vision discount, 403(b) retirement, flexible spending account or health savings account, long term and short term disability, life insurance, AD&D insurance, etc).
Under the direction of the Program Coordinator and with the guidance of the Head Teacher, the Assistant Teacher provides support for children by assisting them academically, socially, physically, emotionally, and spiritually in a manner that fosters the overall development and well-being of each child in accordance with the curriculum and Montessori philosophy. You will assist in preparing and maintaining an orderly learning environment well-equipped with the appropriate materials and supplies.
You will also supervise the children as directed inside and outside the classroom, during transitions which may include lunchtime, naptime, recess, and others as scheduled.

Requirements Education & ExperienceThe ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in education) and a minimum of 2 years teaching in a support role within an Early Childhood environment. Montessori experience or certification is a plus. Excellent interpersonal, listening, verbal and written communication, organization skills are preferred. This person must be adaptable to different situations, communication and social styles. Patience, the ability to stay calm and maintain respectful and peaceful communication with children and adults is also essential.
OtherRequirements
Physical requirements include full ability to see, walk, hear and talk as well as lift and carry up to 15 lbs. regularly, up to 40-50 lbs. in the case of lifting or carrying a child in an emergency situation, and pushing/pulling/reaching to maintain files, supplies and equipment.
