Tenure-line Assistant Professor in Molecular Biosciences

The Department of Molecular Biosciences invites exceptional and innovative scholars to apply for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position. Department research programs encompass the spectrum of modern life sciences research from single molecule biophysics to the development of multicellular organisms. We are broadly interested in candidates who use state-of-the-art-tools, including cryoET/cryoEM, single cell genomics/proteomics, single cell imaging, and artificial intelligence and de novo protein design, to address fundamental problems in biochemistry, cell biology, and genetics.

However, candidates focused on any areas that complement the strengths of our collaborative faculty should apply. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree and demonstrate commitment to excellence in research and teaching.

Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The expected base pay range for this position is $110,000 - $125,000. This base pay range is for a nine-month academic appointment, does not include summer salary, and is subject to negotiation. Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline;

departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
