Overview

Description Ques Tek Innovations LLC, a pioneer and market leader in Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME), seeks an accomplished Sales Director to spearhead the growth of our innovative ICMD® software platform and related Materials by Design® services. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer or designee, this position is pivotal in driving strategic sales initiatives, building robust client relationships, and expanding Ques Tek’s market footprint.

This role requires up to 50% domestic travel, and occasional overseas travel to EU and Asia.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development:

  • Generate new business opportunities through direct client engagement, presentations, and solution-oriented discussions.
  • Negotiate and secure contracts, aligning client needs with Ques Tek’s capabilities.
  • Meet and surpass annual sales goal.

Client Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and expand relationships with key customers, including government and corporate stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their challenges and demonstrating how ICMD® and Materials by Design® can resolve their material, engineering, and related product and company performance issues.

Strategic Sales Planning

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate new markets and grow existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with in-house marketing and product teams to ensure alignment with sales objectives and market demands.

Networking And Branding

  • Represent Ques Tek at industry events and associations to build brand awareness and establish relationships with decision-makers.
  • Identify and pursue partnerships that complement Ques Tek’s mission and value proposition.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and senior leadership to tailor solutions for clients and ensure delivery excellence.
  • Provide feedback to R&D and product teams to guide the continuous improvement of ICMD® software and related Materials by Design® services.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience:

    Minimum of 7 years of sales experience in advanced engineering software, engineering services, materials science consulting, or related fields. Proven prior capture of corporate and government contracts delivering high- ticket enterprise software or SaaS bookings is highly desirable.
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, or a related discipline is required. An MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.
  • Technical Acumen:
    Ability to understand and articulate complex engineering concepts, particularly those related to materials design, additive manufacturing, and ICME.
  • Communication:
    Exceptional networking, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic Thinking:
    Demonstrated ability to assess market opportunities and develop actionable strategies for growth.
  • Work Ethic:
    Self-motivated, results-driven, and willing to “roll up your sleeves” to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Mobility:
    Ability to travel domestically up to 50% and maintain access to a major airport. Occasional travel to EU and Asia also required.
