The position involves directing forensic casework, supervising subordinates, coordinating with law enforcement and state officials, and ensuring compliance with program goals and priorities.
Key qualifications:- Four years of college education and four years of progressively responsible administrative experience
- Two years of professional supervisory work experience in a forensic science laboratory or law enforcement organization
- Bachelor's degree in biological, chemical, physical, natural or forensic sciences (preferred)
- Five or more years of professional forensic science work experience (preferred)
- Four or more years of supervisory forensic science work experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of state, federal, and local criminal laws relating to forensic evidence and chain-of-custody (preferred)
