Hourly Pay Range

$43.69 - $67.72 – The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

The MFM Sonographer is a role responsible for performing a wide range of advanced ultrasound procedures and providing expert technical support. This position requires a deep understanding of ultrasound techniques, equipment, and patient care, as well as a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

What you will do
  • Perform a variety of advanced ultrasound procedures to obstetric specialized diagnostic images for MFM specialty
  • Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, addressing patient concerns, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout examinations.
  • Operate and maintain advanced ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to quality standards.
  • Adjust imaging parameters to optimize image quality and accuracy, demonstrating proficiency in various scanning techniques.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks on ultrasound equipment and maintain records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Accurately document patient information, procedure details, and image data in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure the safe use of ultrasound equipment and adherence to safety protocols, including proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to review and interpret images, provide input on patient care plans, and assist in clinical decision-making.
  • Stay updated with advancements in ultrasound technology, safety protocols, and clinical best practices through ongoing education and training.
What you will need
  • A American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and Echocardiography Certification preferred
  • A AHA Heartsaver CPR - American Heart Association (AHA)
