Patient Care Technician - Resource Team - Evening and Night Shifts

Hourly Pay Range: $18.84 - $27.32. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Work under the supervision of an RN to deliver patient care on the Antepartum unit

• Assist with Vital Signs (manual blood pressure), 12-Lead EKG, Bladder Ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse

• Assist with the implementation of a patient-specific care plan

• Participate in activities essential to the functioning of the patient care unit

• Contribute to safety outcomes and promote high-quality patient experience

• In non-emergency transfers, utilize appropriate patient movement equipment; in urgent events, assist with lifting up to 50 pounds

• Education:
  
  Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training course preferred, or completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred

• Certification:
  Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association

• Experience:
  
  Inpatient PCT
