Patient Care Technician - Resource Team - Evening and Night Shifts

Hourly Pay Range

$18.84 - $27.32 – The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Job Type: Per Diem, Patient Care Tech (Level 1: 32‑72 hrs., Level 2: 73‑110 hrs., Level 3: 111‑144 hrs. per 6‑week schedule)

• Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care on the Antepartum unit
• Assist with vital signs (including manual blood pressure), 12‑lead EKG, bladder ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and any other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse
• Assist with the implementation of a patient‑specific care plan
• Participate in other activities essential to the functioning of the patient care unit
• Positively contribute to safety outcomes and promote high‑quality patient experience
• When in the clinical environment, must utilize appropriate patient‑movement equipment for patient‑lifting and transfers when the transfer is a non‑emergency situation. In an urgent event, may need to assist with lifting up to 50 pounds.

• Education:
  
  Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training course preferred or completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred.
• Certification:
  Current BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider issued by the American Heart Association. If BLS certification is missing, you must obtain it.
• Experience:
  
  Inpatient Patient Care Tech experience
• Unique or Preferred
  
  Skills:
  
  Inpatient PCT medical/surgical experience
