Hillcrest Home pays every other Friday through direct deposit.
- Hourly Rate: Starting @ $30.00 per hour
- 20 Hours of Vacation at Hire
-Job Description-
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as experience in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual patient needs. You will play a crucial role in assisting patients with activities of daily living and promoting their overall health and well-being.
- Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Implement treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist and observe / document progress
- Assist patients with ADLs to enhance their independence and quality of life.
- Provide therapeutic interventions in various settings, including geriatrics, pediatrics, inpatient, and outpatient care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize medical imaging and other diagnostic tools to inform treatment decisions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on the therapeutic process and strategies for continued improvement.
- Stay current with best practices in occupational health and rehabilitation.
-Job Requirements-
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical therapist Assistant Program
- Must pass the National Physical Therapy Exam and meet state-specific licensing or certification requirements
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and occupational health principles
- Experience in skilled nursing facilities or similar environments is preferred
- Familiarity with developing care plans for diverse patient populations, including those with acute conditions or chronic illnesses
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions
- Previous experience in home health or clinic settings is a plus
