What You’ll Do
:

  • Identify the problem statement and break it down into smaller components (e.g., issue/logic tree).
  • Own multiple project work streams (data/content synthesis, insights/findings) and identify connections and inter-dependencies between them.
  • Develop project deliverables with a clear storyline and integrated framework, including insights, findings, strategic implications and recommendations.
  • Build relationships with day-to-day client contacts.
  • Work effectively in teams — communicate, participate, collaborate, motivate, and delegate.
  • Leverage quantitative skills to derive answers to Health Plan clients’ ongoing business analytics and reporting questions.
  • Collaborate with Health Plan clients to ascertain the client’s specific business information needs.
  • Execute a plan to analyze the data necessary to secure solutions to clients’ business information needs.
  • Discuss and determine with clients which specific data may be best utilized for analysis.
  • Evaluate, assess and analyze the data needed to provide solutions to the client’s information needs.
  • Communicate data results to the client with emphasis on answering the business question, not just the analytical process.
  • Gain familiarity with client internal processes and develop expertise within a client analytics area.

What You’ll Bring
:

  • MBA with a bachelor’s (and often graduate) degree in a quantitative/analytical field (e.g., Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Management Science, Data Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering). Alternatively, a PhD in marketing, economics, decision sciences or related field with business applications. In lieu of an MBA/PhD, 5–8 years of relevant work experience may substitute.
  • Up to 3 years of post-MBA Health Plan experience and 3–5 years of pre-MBA relevant experience, with evidence of strong analytic work using techniques and tools such as R, Python, SAS or Tableau.
  • Experience with healthcare business processes/analytics strongly preferred.
  • High motivation, good work ethic, maturity and personal initiative.
  • Aptitude for and enjoyment of leading and managing teams.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills that enable impact with senior-level decision makers.
  • Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset.
  • Analytic problem-solving skills with a creative and innovative outlook.
  • Client service orientation, fluency in English, and a client-first mentality.
