Albany Care, a Residential Mental Health Facility in Evanston, Illinois, Seeks a Full Time, Experienced Commercial Painter.
$23.00-$25.00 per hour, Plus Benefits. Monday
- Friday
- Start Immediately.
The ideal candidate can work a Flexible Schedule including Occasional Weekends.

Responsibilities of the Experienced Painters:- Cleaning, preparing, repairing, and priming surfaces, including drywalling, to ensure smooth finish
- Mixing, matching, and applying primer and paint to walls, ceilings, doors, trim as directed
- Assist with preparation of cost estimates for capital investment projects and renovations
- Communicating with the Administrator or designee to determine painting needs and requirements to make best decisions about projects
- Assembly of scaffolding and safety equipment may be required
- May operate tools such as power washer and spray paint equipment
- Maintain inventory of brushes, rollers, tarps
- Adhere to quality standards of health and safety regulations
- Will report to facility Administrator
- Commercial painting experience preferred
- Ability to speak and read English preferred
- Must pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting, and be deemed eligible to work in a healthcare facility by the IL Dept of Public Health
- Previous work experience in a residential health care setting a plus
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team
- Must have compassion for those with psychiatric conditions
- Must be willing to have a flu shot, unless you have a valid medical or religious exemption letter
