A. Robinson Inc. is looking for a full-time Metal Arts, Architectural and Ornamental Metal Fabricator to join our team in Chicago, IL. Candidate for this position is responsible for the fabrication, mechanical and/or welded assembly of parts from steel, stainless, bronze and aluminum.

• 3 - 5 Years of Verifiable Experience
• Must be able to work as a team member and be able to work independently.
• Must be able to ask questions and receive direction.
• Must have good communication skills and command of the English language.
• Be able to work in a manufacturing shop environment and meet all safety standards.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals.
• Be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• To have the ability to follow safety protocols in the use of hand tools, power tools, material handling and other equipment.
• Fabricate and or assemble parts from various materials, steel, stainless, bronze aluminum, wood, plastics and glass
• Woodworking experience a plus.
• Must be able to set up welding jigs, fixtures.
• Must be able to create 3 dimensional structures.
• Be experienced and proficient in MIG and or TIG welding practices.
• Must be able to handle welding gasses and oxyacetylene set up.
• Be able to solder and braze.
• Be able to grind, sand, finish and maintain squareness of finished parts.
• Paint / Patina Finishing Experience preferred.
• Follow quality standards of materials and finishes.
• Have Field Installation experience
• Have the ability to work and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Must be able to safely lift and carry 45
  
  Lbs 25'-00" if necessary
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/ alcohol screen and criminal background check.
• Must be available for overtime, weekend, and holidays.
• Have reliable transportation
