Nationwide — Travel Required Pay: $40+/Hour + $125–$180/Day Per Diem + $0.76/Mile Mileage Reimbursement Duration: 6+ Month Assignments | Ongoing Opportunities Put Your Grinding Expertise to Work Nationwide Nordic Solutions is urgently seeking highly skilled OD, , and Cylindrical CNC and Manual Grinders to support precision manufacturing projects across the United States.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced grinders who take pride in their craft, enjoy challenging work, and are comfortable traveling to different manufacturing environments. Work on high-precision, tight-tolerance components while gaining exposure to a variety of advanced manufacturing operations nationwide.

If you’re a true precision grinder who can independently set up machines, make process adjustments, troubleshoot issues, select and dress wheels, and consistently hold demanding tolerances, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll DoSet up and operate OD, , and cylindrical CNC and manual grinding equipment

Grind complex, one-off, prototype, and low-volume production components

Set up machines, select appropriate wheels, and make process adjustments

Dress and maintain grinding wheels to achieve required tolerances and surface finishes

Troubleshoot grinding processes and resolve dimensional or quality issues

Work with hardened steels, exotic materials, and high-alloy materials

Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering specifications

Perform detailed in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment

Maintain extremely tight dimensional tolerances and demanding surface finishes

Adapt quickly to new equipment, processes, and manufacturing environments

What We’re Looking For5+ years of verifiable experience in OD, , or cylindrical CNC and/or manual grinding

Strong hands-on experience producing high-precision, tight-tolerance components

Proven ability to set up, operate, adjust, and troubleshoot grinding equipment

Manual grinding experience strongly preferredCNC grinding experience is a plus Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills

Proficiency using precision measuring instruments

Experience with hardened steels, exotic materials, or high-alloy materials preferred

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed

Willingness and ability to travel nationwide

Compensation & Benefits $40+/Hour, based on experience and skill level $125–$180/Day Per Diem $0.76/Mile Mileage Reimbursement Overtime opportunities
