Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Department: Emergency Department (ED / ER)

Schedule: Full Time – Nights, 3‑12 hour shifts, 7:00 pm–7:30 am

Hourly Rate: $35.35 to $53.58 per hour

Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000.00 available for qualified candidates

• Assess, prioritize, and triage patients using established clinical protocols
• Provide emergency nursing care, treatments, and life‑saving interventions
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies as ordered
• Monitor patient condition, interpret clinical findings, and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team
• Assist with emergency procedures, trauma care, diagnostic testing, and patient stabilization
• Operate and monitor emergency and life‑support equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Promote patient safety, quality care, and positive clinical outcomes
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Current and valid state RN license
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days upon hire and maintain current
• Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current
• EDAP certified facilities:
  Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire
• Non‑OB facilities: NRP certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current
• Trauma designated facilities:
  Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required within 12 months of hire and maintain current; non‑trauma facilities, TNCC preferred
