As a Dietary Aide, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive high-quality food and nutrition services. • Review, prepare, and serve meals in accordance with planned menus, standardized recipes, and special diet orders.
• Prepare and serve residents' nutritional bedtime snacks and approved substitute foods for residents who decline served foods.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by ensuring equipment and supplies are properly maintained and facility infection control precautions are followed.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures, ensuring utensils, cookware, and equipment are clean and readily available for the next meal.
• Prepare and deliver snacks, food carts, and meal trays to designated areas.
• Serve food and beverages in the dining room in a courteous and professional manner.
• Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen and dish room as instructed by the supervisor.
• Maintain clean and organized food service areas and follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Report equipment concerns, safety hazards, or other issues to the appropriate supervisor.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in food service or a related field preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to properly care for and use dietary supplies and equipment.
• Ability to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of assigned work areas.
• Ability to perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, organization, safety, and proper completion of assigned duties.
• Possess patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition when working with residents.
• Ability to learn and incorporate new methods and principles into established food service practices.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of residents, staff, or others in the workplace.
