Position Overview

Insomnia Cookies is actively hiring a full-time hourly Store Manager in Training (MIT) at our Evanston store located at 1725 Sherman, IL 60201
. The role is for hospitality‑focused individuals eager to join a rapidly growing, nationally recognized company.

• Pay rate: $15.00 - $17.50/hr.

• Perform Manager‑on‑Duty during scheduled shifts when Store Ops Manager (GM) is not present.
• Supervise, train, and coach 2‑5 team members engaged in cookie sales and deliveries.
• Lead onboarding and initial training for new hourly staff.
• Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires in the manager’s absence.
• Support Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling.
• Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies’ standards (baking, uniform, policies).
• Ensure upselling and overall customer service excellence across the team.

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail setting.
• Experience conducting in‑person interviews of hourly support staff.
• Prior experience with POS systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, and the Applicant Tracking System.
• Ability to work a 4‑5 day week and 1‑2 shifts late in the week (Thursday–Sunday).
• Must be 18 years of age or older and legally eligible to work in the United States.
