Social Worker (SY26/27) – 2 positions. Job .

This position is for the school year.
Responsibilities- Completes reports and documentation of services (e.g., logging of IEP SSW minutes, IEP Progress Reports per trimester; end of year SSW Service Evaluation summaries, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and complying with mandated requirements.
- Completes Social and Development Study (SDS) as part of Case Study Evaluation (CSE) and/or Re Evaluations process for compliance with IEP eligibility and standardized assessment per the IEP team.
- Conducts risk assessment for suicidal ideation.
- Facilitates Case Wrap Plan for at least one student per year for Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS).
- Facilitates Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) – may include role of BIP Coordinator as designated by principal (e.g., completes Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and works with BIP teachers and other staff; case manager for one or more BIPs of non-IEP students).
- Implements Social/Academic Instruction Groups (SAIGs) – time-limited, progress monitoring tools, data utilization to identify group members and determine impact.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Provides SEL curriculum as identified by the district (e.g., Second Step, Second Step KG Safety Program, Red Flags Suicide Prevention programs, PBIS anti‑bullying programs).
- Serves as liaison – coordinates referrals to outside agencies, refers homeless students to district and community services, helps facilitate PBIS and LAN Wraparound plans, etc.
- Serves as the Tier 2/3 Team Coordinator or the school BIP Coordinator for PBIS.
- Supports Check‑In/Check‑Out (CICO) intervention – may include role of CICO Coordinator as designated by building principal.
- Supports staff in assessment and referral (including district and state documentation) for DCFS Mandated Reporting.
- Works under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods; leads, guides, and/or coordinates others; may utilize resources from other work units.
Education required: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Certificates and licenses:
- Designated Subject Matter Endorsement
- Professional Educators License
Experience required: Job related experience within a specialized area.
Compensation and BenefitsMinimum starting salary with Bachelor’s degree: $56,920 (includes District‑paid TRS pension) – prorated to start date.
Minimum starting salary with Master’s degree: $62,042 (includes District‑paid TRS pension) – prorated to start date.
